Qualitative journalism as a contribution to conflict transformation

The project aims to improve the quality of media reporting in Armenia, develop and implement sustainable structure for quality media reporting in conflicts․ This is a multi-component and interconnected project including ongoing activities.   

The activities of the project are aimed at equipping journalists with the necessary knowledge and skills to cover conflicts.   

Within the framework of the project journalism summer schools, study visits,” Tvapatum Aftershock” conferences are being held, journalism materials on conflict coverage will be published, a touring exhibition “Lratun․ Episodes of the conflict” will be organized in the regions, small sub-grants for innovative multimedia stories on conflicts will be awarded, a conflict coverage handbook and module for universities will be created. 

The beneficiaries of the project are journalists covering conflict and NGO representatives interested in the topic. 

The project will be implemented from March 2023 till September 2026 with the support of the HEKS/EPER – Swiss Church Aid and Bread for the World – development and relief agency of the Protestant Churches in Germany. 

The project budget: 382,000 EUR.
