EU Ambassador Vassilis Maragos met InFact Newsroom at Media Initiatives Center․ 

The meeting focused on the current challenges facing the media in Armenia, the growing spread of disinformation, misleading narratives, and hostile propaganda, as well as the importance of fact-checking, quality journalism, and public awareness in countering these threats.

The discussion also addressed the need to enhance media transparency, uphold the principles of ethical journalism, and strengthen public trust as essential prerequisites for a democratic and resilient information environment.

“The EU stands with Armenia’s professional journalists & fact-checkers, whose work is vital not only now, but for the future,” Ambassador Maragos noted.
