Media Literacy Goes Public

The project contributes to the active, critical and competent consumption of the media by the public at large through festivals and information campaigns.

“Masquerade during Infodemic” online festival and “We Resist” series of online sessions were already held. Through webinars, screenings and discussions, people were equipped with knowledge and skills for understanding the newsfeed, debunking disinformation, avoiding propaganda and manipulations, checking facts, understanding quality journalism, and using innovative methods for promoting media literacy.

MIC also carries out a social media campaign by spreading useful resources and tips for avoiding the infodemic and for effectively using media tools.

The project is implemented from May 2020 to December 2021 with support of n-ost (Germany) through funds provided by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
