Professional Media, Practitioners and Grassroots Joining Forces for Peace

This project is implemented within the framework of EU4PeaceIII – Professional Media, Practitioners and Grassroots Joining Forces for Peace, building on the longstanding engagement of the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI) to support peaceful resolution efforts around the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. It follows the foundational work of EU4Peace I and II (2020–2024) and continues to emphasize the importance of encouraging public dialogue, countering disinformation, and enabling the inclusion of marginalized voices in peacebuilding processes.

The project aims to support cross-conflict dialogue and promote a culture of peace in Armenia by:

  • Promoting pro-peace and conflict-sensitive narratives through media;
  • Enhancing collaboration between Armenian and Azerbaijani practitioners;
  • Strengthening the professional integration of underrepresented and displaced groups, especially media professionals from Nagorno-Karabakh;
  • Encouraging creative grassroots approaches to building mutual understanding.

The components of this 15 months project are:

  • Establish a collaborative platform for Armenian and Azerbaijani fact-checkers to address disinformation related to the conflict,
  • Small grants for fact checking pieces,
  • Co-Produced documentary film on the history of peacebuilding initiatives in the Armenian-Azerbaijani context,
  • Dialogue through music: production of a film featuring musicians from Armenia and Azerbaijan,
  • Trainings for displaced journalists from Nagorno-Karabakh,
  • Sub-grants for NK journalists and mentorship throughout the process.

The project is being implemented from November 2024, to January 2026 with the support of the European Union.

The project budget: 136,496.00 EUR․
