The studio is a direct contribution to the production of the Kids’ Crossroads (Menk Enk – a joint project, implemented by the organizations Internews in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia) TV program. The Internews conducts special training courses in TV computer graphics and design, as well as non-linear editing among ten schoolchildren (aged 13-17) for their further involvement in the production of the Kids’ Crossroads program. The young people are taught how to take a story from its initial concept to the visual representation on the TV screen and the Internet.
It is anticipated, that upon the end of the courses, they will have relevant technical skills and tools to develop the visual image of the program and ensure the technical design and implementation of the project. As stated by one of the course participants, “In the studio we learn how to operate complex computer programs, digital equipment and editing systems, which I believe are necessary for delivering the message of the program to our peers in the most effective and creative manner”. The studio is run with financial assistance received from the UNICEF.
