15 camera operators completed a training course in mid-March. Jimmy Garland, a New-York-based freelance cameraman, was the main consultant of the course. The seminar curriculum included mastering camera skills, using the edit-control boards and lights, shooting vox pops, stand-ups and sequences, producing short stories and working in the studio. The consultant of the course constantly encouraged the students to try new things and work in a different way, as compared to what they did in their TV stations.
The seminar resulted in a 15-minute news program produced by the students..
