Tvapatum. Aftershock 2026

The Media Initiatives Center invites you to participate in the regional conference “Tvapatum Aftershock 2026”, which will take place on April 17–18, 2026, in Yerevan. 

This year’s theme, media during war and crisis, unfortunately remains highly relevant.

In today’s world, where wars and conflicts continue, including in our region, journalism faces serious challenges.

What is the role of media when caught between war and peace, in the midst of information clashes, internal polarization, and ongoing crises?

During the conference, speakers from different countries, including the United Kingdom, Syria, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Poland, and Armenia, will share their experiences and discuss topics such as information warfare, peace journalism, hate speech in media, professional ethics, disinformation and fact-checking, working with sources and data, the use of artificial intelligence, as well as the practical and personal challenges journalists face when covering crises.
