Human Rights on the Internet: Education and Protection

“The Human Rights on the Internet: Education and Protection” project aims to make the internet domain more predictable and informative for journalists, civil activists, representatives of NGOs and other users. The project consists of two components: the concept of human rights protection on the Internet and a Multimedia Game.

The concept reveals the main challenges of the Internet use and proposes mechanisms for cybersecurity within the context of political or social changes in the country.

The game is designed to help one learn about online dangers and challenges, and to gain skills to defend oneself against those, helping to ‘digest’ the complex information through game elements.

The multimedia game discusses real cases, when the content has been controlled, manipulated or censored, and proposes recommendations to avoid or overcome such situations.

The game is easy to use, is interactive, and visually appealing.

This project is being implemented during June 2014 – May 2019, with funding support received from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
